deep in the black of sleep
the dreams of children
their voices come and go
these hummingbird spirits
shadows dance in my repose
laughter of a thousand days

lung and heart inhale the ache

wheel of dreams and wanderlust
we scattered seeds of sunny noises
another country calls them now
but i still hear those distant voices
chuckles green and hairy head
